has given birth to a baby girl weighing an enormous 6.8kg
– She is believed to
be the heaviest female baby ever born in the world

” Nandini, aged 19, has welcomed her
first child on Monday, May 23. The baby girl was successfully deliverd via
C-section at a government-run hospital in Hassan in southern state Karnataka,

eyepopping size left everyone baffled –neither the young mother, who herself
weighs 94 kg and is 175 tall, nor doctors monitoring her pregnancy expected
such a heavy baby. Dr Venkatesh Raju, the local health worker, expressed his
surprise: “In my 25 years of experience, I had never seen such a big baby. She

the girl was delivered without difficulties and is healthy. The baby is
currently under the supervision of medics at the hospital’s neonatal intensive
care unit who plan to discharge her in the next few days. Dr Poornima Manu,
gynaecologist who delivered the baby said: “She came as a big surprise for all
of us. The surgery took place for nearly half an hour and it was free of any
risk. She is really big and beautiful. She does not have any health issues like
irregular sugar levels or thyroid and is breathing well. world's biggest baby
The baby weighs a whopping 6.8kg We were initially concerned about her sugar
levels but that is normal. She mother had made regular visits for check-ups at
the hospital and never showed signs of gestational diabetes or thyroid
disorders. Both the mother and the child are doing fine and we will discharge
them once we are confident of the baby’s health.” Happy parents, Nandini and
her husband Arun, are now counting the days when they can bring their daughter
home.
