The destoyed camp of the
Boko Haram
Ahmad Salkida, the Nigerian journalist known to have access to the Boko
Haram leaders, has revealed all the truth about the current state of the
war against the insurgents.
He claimed that the news that the deadly Boko Haram sect is hungry,
disoriented, and on the run according to the Minister of Information Lai
Mohammed obviously shows a direction wide away from reality, says top
level security source.
According to Salkida, the terrorists have displaced “extraordinary”
liveliness on various fronts and have imposed heavy casualties not only
on residents but on “the army which has lost a lot of its men”.

One of the army’s officers, who disclosed this information and is
currently in the epicenter of the battle, said: “the strategy was to
push the insurgents out of towns that are known, to areas that mostly
unheard of in order to push the official narrative in the media that war
is almost won and settled.”
However, the Boko Haram’s “ability to hold their ground on several
fronts and keep the Chibok girls away from every effort by the army to
locate and rescue them is indicative that they remain a strong force”.
While answering about the whereabouts of the Chibok girls, the source
said that contrary to the words of President Muhammadu Buhari that he
has no credible intelligence on the girls; the deadly sect has given the
facts and has remained resolute that their demands be met before they
will free the girls.
He said: “The abduction saga alone, I think has demonstrated that Boko
Haram, cannot be dismissed as defeated. They have succeeded in doing
what probably no group confronted by such an international coalition has
ever done.”
The military source continued that most of the rescues reported are
conducted in villages already resized by the army.
Speaking about the progress was being made in the war the source
accepted that Boko Haram had lost territory and the militants which has
crushed their ability to go on the offensive.
However, the sources claimed that the terrorists were still able to kill
soldiers, and they are holding their grounds in several areas.
In addition, the deadly sect appears to be implementing new strategies
much faster than awaited.
Meanwhile, the media, according to investigations have been flooded with
photos that only show the losses of the terrorists.

On the other hand, the military casualties in the last 6 months have
reportedly risen to very disturbing levels.
Musa Abubakar, a member of the Boko Haram told Salkida that his sect is
no longer devoted to countering the misrepresentation of the media.
He said: “Let people believe what they want to be told by the media of
the Kufr (unbelievers), you in the media tell lies and are fed with
lies.
“There has never been a war where on side did not suffer any losses.
“Do not forget that we are fighting soldiers from four different
countries, backed by the rest of the world.
“But here we are still alive, we will give everyone sleepless nights.”
The Nigerian army through its spokesperson Sani Usman constantly
announced the recorded success against the insurgents saying that the
troops have intensified operations to clear the remnants of Boko Haram
terrorists.
The military claimed that at least 500 people were rescued from the
insurgents while many terrorists were killed.
The Nigerian Air Force bombarded the notorious hideout of the sect in
Sambisa forest, destroying bases and recovering weapons.
President Buhari in December announced that the Boko Haram has been
technically defeated.
